We are changing our PRI's from Sprint to AT&t. I need to verify how many digits our PBX is set to receive / strip off from the incoming DID's. What load do I use to check for the current set up?
the length of your ldn (cdb) determines how many digits you are getting..
if your using 4 digit dn's, and you do not have to go to 49 and set up digit conversion for each did, your usually getting 4.. having a provider send more digits then you need would be a waste of cpu and ram.
ld 49 prt idc, shows conversion if it is needed.. on the route idc yes, the next 2 prompts show the dcno table for day and night operation..
on some of my routes i use idc, my primary did routes i don't.. so if you prt idc you would see several tables. none would indicate the number of digits my did provider is sending
Thanks for all the help. I would have just asked sprint but it is almost inpossible in our area to get an answer from sprint. They use XO to provide our DID's and it takes forever. I used LD 80 and traced an outside call to my extension. It shows the entire 10 digit number. That means 10 digit incoming, correct? Another question, where do I locate all the PRI setting in the PBX Loads. I would like to print the existing options. Where do I look for CPE to Glare?
I had looked earlier in LD 60. I know I have N12 / ESF / B8ZS. They want to set an option in their equipment on the PRI (Glare - CPE Yields). I do not know what that is.
I did a trad on an existing incoming call to a PRI.
The Dial # shows 3853 ( the did extension that was called)
Called state = 10
calling number 800-xxx-xxxx
called number xxx-xxxx-3853
I tried talking to XO and can not get an answer on digits they are sending. Does any of the trad info on the pri show the actual digits sent by sprint?
make it easy for yourself as suggested. Look in load 49, are all your DID numbers in there being converted? or do you have a few entries that are 4 digit and converted to a diff 4 digits?
The PBX only looks at the ist 4 digits? Is this because the LDN0 is only 4 digits? So if they sent me 7 digits as such as 222-3803. The PBX would look at that as 2223? I just want to get this straight in my "fat" head.
