Is there a script to automate loading MIBs in Optivity, I have a requirement to load other vendor MIBs (mainly Cisco); into Windows based Optivity.

Bob

My advice is, use cisco works for cisco equipement and optivity for Nortel equipement.
If you want to do both, certainly with a big network, use a thirth party software.

Well said Alainv!

I agree also, but sometimes you have to do what the client wants. This happens to be one of those times.

There is a automated utility for loading Nortel oits into Optivity.
Don't know if it would work for you.
Do you have the Optivity Documentation cd ?

Will have to test the oit against third party MIBs. The documentation does not address this issue, other then formats.

Thanks...

Bob

I would suggest a call to Nortel. You could add the mib to the Optivity mib file, but you might hose the file then.
