I have a set of Accounts Receivable files from [DOS] version 6.5 that must be loaded onto a stand-alone PC that is running [DOS] version 7.0 with v6.5 comptability.

The A/R files - all [.pro] extensions - are on a CD.

[1] Do I have to create a new company and then import the files into that new company?

[2] What's the best way to import the A/R files into the stand-alone PC?

Thanks in advance.

Why import? Just add that company to the start list.

Hi Jay,
i suppose nibhatt's trouble would be at the level of pathing?
If you are already running ACCPAC on the stand alone PC what you probably wanna do is add the company to the start list but specify the path the application should use in obtaining the data which you have on the CD (i suppose that is the data you want to work with?)

Except you can't run it from a CD, it's read only. It has to be copied to your hard drive.
