In a load balance configuration, Is it possible to have 2 raptors firewalls machines both having the same VIP-out on theirs external interfaces, but having different default gatways ( 2 different routers connected to a 2 different external lines provided by 2 different telecoms )?
the objective is to have 2 different lines provinding internet acess, and to get the automatic load balance using these 2 different paths. On the symantec manual ( "Symantec Enterprise Firewall and Symantec Enterprise VPN" - Installation guide for windows, page 72 ) a similar load balance configuration is depicted. but in there, the picture shows 2 clusters having the same default gateway, thus pointing to just one common external router. I will be glad for any help in thi matter. Thanks.

The SEF HA/LB is designed to use one common gateway. The idea is sound but the traffic needs to be pointed to one gateway. That is, to effectively load balance and provide High availablity one needs to consider if one conenction fails the other fireeall will assume the traffic request. The solution you may be needing is a router that handles BGP or some mechansim to reconginze dual gateways.
