lldp-med on cs1k

Has anyone had problems getting lldp/lldp-med to work?

I have juniper switches configured for lldp-med /lldp but I can't see any devices. we are using CS1K 5.0 with 1230 handsets.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have LLDP enabled on the 1230?

Is it configured on the handset via DHCP or globally on the CS1K ?

It depends on if you are using Nortel-A or Nortel-B string. Go into the config menu on the set and it is near the top of the settings.

LLDP is configured on the set itself. If you are running latest firmware, then you can use the "Nortel-i2004-B" DHCP option string or you can use TFTP config files to remotely turn on/off LLDP.
