My environment has had Undelete installed for over 6 months and I'm wanting to install Recycle Bin. I don't want to lose any items in Undelete. Any ideas on how to properly transition to Recycle Bin?

Note: Undelete must first be uninstalled to install Recycle Bin.

restore the items in undelete to a folder or some place.if you can find the volumeid you can "tweak" the URL to show you the volume rather than the livereport.a small alpi program can alos be written to get contents of the volume to another container.Once that is done you should be ok to install recycle bin.
BTW I would seriously look at some dates on the undelete volume and use some methodology "say I want to keep only 30 days of deleted data:)" this would ensure that I am not restoring all of this again to be dleted by recycle bin.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

here are the steps I have taken:
1. Used Object Exporter to export the Undelete Workspace
2. With Object Importer I imported this volume to a folder
3. Uninstalled Undelete
4. Installed Recycle Bin
5. Delete the Undelete volume I imported within step 2

I retained permissions, but lost delete date and restore paths. I exported the DeletedDocs SQL table to a spreadsheet incase I ever needed to reference the restore path. Admin is the only one who can restore items from that Recycle Bin date so the spreadsheet is a good reference. I told OT this method (I opened a ticket with them) and they didn't want to hear it. They said the only way to install Recycle Bin is if I'm willing to lose all Undelete items, that answer was no good.

but lost delete date
I don't have a system currently to test but with OI you should be able to tweak the
"createdate" to the date it was "deleted/moved" to the undelete volume.I am sure it can be done,it does not have to be the server date/time on creation, just a thought if it is important.

during the import the delete date was retained, but the fact that I deleted the entire undelete volume at once (to put in the recycle bin) the delete now now represents 6/24/09
