I cannot install Norton updates for the actual programs(Systemworks 2003).Virus definitions and security updates are fine but not the programs.I get the message 'Cannot install update' and my OS and software version. The problem seems to be linked to Longfilename value in the registry which I've set as recommended by Symantec people(in fact only after that I've managed to install and run the programs properly!).But I'm still back to square one.Is there any other settings or service(?)that can course that sort of behaviour from Norton?I'd rather avoid reinstalling Windows(XP Home) if I can,but it looks like I have no choice left.
Any helf will be much, much appriciated.

Automatic LiveUpdate status tells you if the automatic LiveUpdate feature is on. You should have automatic LiveUpdate turned on to ensure that Norton AntiVirus has the latest virus definitions. Virus definitions are files containing virus information that allow Norton AntiVirus to recognize and alert you to the presence of a specific virus. To prevent new viruses from infecting your computer, you must update your virus definitions frequently.
To turn automatic LiveUpdate on or off, at the top of the Norton AntiVirus main window, click Options. Under Internet, click LiveUpdate, and then check/uncheck Enable automatic LiveUpdate. If automatic LiveUpdate is off, you can also turn it on by clicking Automatic LiveUpdate in the System Status window and clicking the Enable button. If you are using Windows NT, only users that have Administrators access rights can turn automatic LiveUpdate on or off.
If you are using Windows NT, only the user who installed Norton AntiVirus can use automatic LiveUpdate.
