I currently have two problems with Livelink when trying to utilise Webdav and Web folders.
1) When I click on Webdav as a function menu item against the folder I administer it goes to a short url which when clicked delivers an error message "Internet Explorer could not open.......as a Web folder". Strangely I can enable other users (with the same build) and they have no problem - I administer their permissions, but someone else administers mine. There seems to be no difference in permissions. Stranger still I can Webdav to a Web folder one level up and to other folders at the same level in the hierarchy and there is no problem. Is this a permissions problem? It's not obvious - at least not to me!
2) In the normal Livelink browser I can establish aliases for sub-folders that are frequently used. These aliases do not function when presented as a Web folder. It seems I can't provide shortcuts in the Web folder itself to get around this problem - I get a message that shortcuts cannot be provided here. Is this functionality really not available in the Web folder presentation? Does anyone know of an alternative approach?
I am a consultant providing project management support and there is a significant amount of project documentation. I am computer literate but am not an expert in Livelink. I don't feel that I should have to have special training in Livelink to solve the above problems.
I would be very grateful for any help on these problems.
Thanks,
Ray Hooper
