Hi

I am "very" new to Livelink so please bear with me.

I am looking in the DAudit table and I see an event recorded for a user logging in. Is there anywhere where it is recorded when a user logs off?

Thanks

No logging off is not an event. You will also see FETCH,VIEW ,COPY etc IF IT IS A audited event
so an useful calc in your case could be derived by
using login plus the other events asoociated to the user
A user ession ends when the browser is closed and the cookie is destroyed. It is re-created every time a user first tries to log in.So if I were to close my browser
10 times in an hour you would see 10 logins for the hour.
This is a faq I wrote that ties into the daudIt table
These are the maximum possible aduit events
Code:
Create, Delete, Move, Copy, Rename, Reserve, Unreserve, Alias Created, Permissions Changed, Attributes Changed, Version Added, Version Deleted, Purge, Version Fetched, Revision Created, Revision Deleted, Release Created, Release Deleted, CD Ordered, Generation Created, Login
may not apply for every subtype. For eg you will not see a create version for the folder subtype

It is possible to customize the audit facility to record events such as failed logins, explicit log outs from the "Tools" menu, etc. The audit facility within Livelink was written so that it is fairly straightforward to add new login events using Oscript programming. As part of a module that enhances the security around passwords and login attempts we added auditing of failed login attempts, automatic lockouts and logoffs to the standard audit capabilities of Livelink. If you are an experienced Oscript programmer I can let you know the steps needed. (It's probably too much for an inexperienced Oscripter.)

as Syntergy says, it is certainly possible to ADD an event for a logout via the menu, however a logout by closing the browser, shutting down the PC, moving to another web page etc. are a lot harder to catch.

According to the KC, the following enhancements will be available in Livelink 9.5

Enhanced Auditing.

*Configuration is by events rather than item type and event
*Provision for auditing before and after data (e.g., permissions changes, group membership changes, full path for moved items, category/attribute changes)
*System administration (configuration) changes
*Failed log-ins
*Administrative reports include detail and node ids
