Hi All,
I have a big issue!
at 00:13 the OT DEV crashed and then it is not broken!
On restart:

1 TomCat service start correctly
2 Archive Spawner start correctly
3 Livelink Admin start correctly
4 Livelink Server begins to start the process LLSERVER.exe but at a certain point is stopped automatically!

I found this error log that goes back a few minutes before crash (hs_err_pid6108):

#
# An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:

# Internal Error (0xe06d7363), pid=6108, tid=3024
#
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (1.5.0_08-b03 mixed mode)

what happens if you open up a SQLtool like sqlplus then try to login to the schema that livelink is supposed to talk to.It looks to me like the livelink server does not know or cannot login to its database.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

Hi Appnair,
thanks for your reply!
I'm able to connect correctly in its database means sqlplus!(no error about it)

The SQL from the logs contains the SUBTYPE part, so you should be using something more like the following based on your log

Code:
select OWNERID,PARENTID,DATAID,NAME,ORIGINOWNERID,ORIGINDATAID,USERID,GROUPID,UPERMISSIONS,GPERMISSIONS,WPERMISSIONS,SPERMISSIONS,ACLCOUNT,PERMID,DATATYPE,RESERVED,SUBTYPE from DTree where ParentID=-663871 AND SubType in ( )

Hi Greg,
the SQL from the log contains the SUBTYPE part (I think wrong; as it has been declared null, and perhaps that is in error, or I'm wrong?)
if run the result is:

Oracle error: (936) --> ORA-00936: missing expression

What I think the problem is a wild guess is some module either opentext's or yours is trying to login to the database to get
some specific subtype info. The best thing for you is to put debug=2,wantlogs=true in your opentext.ini.In 99 % of the cases it should burn
a trace_thread#.out.Oscript programmers can then understand the crash(unhandled exception) when we see the trace as well as the thread logs.
Usually if it is happening in a OT module you should take it up with OT or write some patch yourself
.Say a little about the setup. From your description it looks like
this livelink may contain a ELS (Enterprise Library Deployemnt) or just plain livelink with archive as the storage provider?

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

Hi,
I can confirm that it is a livelink with archive as the storage provider and the debug is set to "2" (wantlogs=true) in opentext.ini.
The threadslogs do not indicate any significant error in this case.

Livelink is a complex piece of software and even if you like it or not some modules have problems as in un handled exceptions.Support or serious oscripters who can understand what it is trying to do can usually get past that.Sometimes it may require logs, sometimes it may require builder. In your case since I know that you do not yet understand oscript it is not something that I can guide you with.Your problems will much easily/quickly be answered by core OT support group.
The way I see it is some module is trying to run the SQL on startup and cannot go past it.usually it is bad code from things like ELS and so on. I have had quite problems
with livelink with ELS and I have told OT support that they should not be writing code like that.many people in OT high enough understand that when a piece of software starts up there cannot be an assumption that it can talk to the database.I am assuming yours running into something like that

In your case it looks like
select OWNERID,PARENTID,DATAID,NAME,ORIGINOWNERID,ORIGINDATAID,USERID,GROUPID,UPERMISSIONS,GPERMISSIONS,WPERMISSIONS,SPERMISSIONS,ACLCOUNT,PERMID,DATATYPE,RESERVED,SUBTYPE from DTree where ParentID=-663871 AND SubType in ( )

perhaps the code expects the Subtype in a list maintained in the ini file which you may have forgotten?

you would look in your database and see what -663871 is in your database. If it is a volume object like a ELS application/Categories for ELS that kind. You would deduce it form a similar place in a working system.

None of this is easy that is why I say ask OT support.

I opened a message/call to OT Support...I will let you know as soon as possible!
Another question...How many Sap system can connect to a OT system?
Actually our OT is connected to a 1 SAP system...is it possible to connect another SAP system to the same OT system?Or it is necessary to switch old system to new system?

Meanwhile I look for the necessary documentation but if you have some documentation or indication I would be grateful.

Greg,
you're absolutely right...pardon!
but from what I've read so far...it looks like two different SAP systems can be connected to the same Archive...I just need a little confirmation ;)
in case open another post
