Hi,

I'm trying to use Livelink Explorer for the first time, but during the setup procedure a connection with the server cannot be established (picture - I have no problems connecting to the server via web browser, though.

Considering server address, username and password have all been entered correctly, what could be causing this problem?

For the record, I'm behind a firewall with very strict rules (only a few ports are open) and there's also a proxy server running; I'm using Livelink Explorer 4.8.1.191 Professional and the same setup procedure has been tried outside the office (router firewall and software firewall present, but no proxy server) without success.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Best regards,

JP

have you tried running Explorer on a machine closer to the server and confirmed that all the required ports are open as per the installation documentation ?

ggriffit, thanks for replying!

I'm using Livelink Explorer upon request by a business partner. I was given an account and a server address, but I can't connect to the server via Livelink Explorer (I can login via web browser, though). The business partner hasn't been able to help me, so I'm trying to find out if Livelink Explorer has issues when it's used behind a firewall or when a proxy server is present.
