Althought I have administration permissions, and I can see the links and access to all the folders / documents, frequently the system takes me to the login screen and I've to logged again to continue working
Perhaps is it because of some 'time out' ? Can anybody help me?

Argo08, can you provide some more details on what you are doing ? are the links consistent when you are asked to relogin ? URLs need to be case sensitive and any change can prompt you to login again.

Can you provide details about your Livelink setup, e.g. servers, SSO, version, patches etc.

Hi ggriffit, yes, the links are consistent when you are asked to relogin, I do not modify the url.
Livelink version 9.1.0.3.90 in a Windows 2000 server

is there anything common about the times you are asked to login again ? is it always when you access the same object type or function ?

nothing especial. I'm browsing through the different folders structure and suddenlly in any folder the system reload the login page. Once I introduce the user/pwd, the system shows me the required page/object.

A couple of tips to debug SSO.Make sure the group "Authenticated Users" are in the livelink tree.Since you have indicated that you are presented with the userid/apssword and you can indeed get in I don't think you have directory services and enabled SSO.So basically it is relying on the livelink memory cookie to maintain the session info.Things that come into mind is do you have only a single instance of livelink or are there more like are you in a laod balanced livelink environment. If that is the case a cookie issued by a webserver that has c:\inetpub\ vs c:\inetpub\could be different. If that is indded the case then compare on the instances the OTHOME variable.Or it may just be indicative of a cookie expiring after an initial login.Anyways unless you do a good assessment of your environment it may be difficult to figure out.Has this ever worked for you or did it just start manifesting(maybe patches on the server stuff like that)

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

Hi,

you said "frequently", so it's not always.
Did you observe the problem while working directly on the server, or from a client pc ?
In the second case, is it possible you have two way to access you server, and thus present two ip addresses (e.g: through a wired net interface and a wireless one) ?
Does the login page come always after the same period of time or randomly ?

Regards,

Olivier
