Is there a way to use the ListNum field and not have it display a period after the number? Every time I use it (and I need to use it with the legal format), it diplays a period (ex. 1.1.). I want 1.1

is listnum a bullet format or is it a form field?

I can only help if it is a bullet format.

Do this, go to format/bullets and numbering.

go to the list styles tab.

Pick the 1/1.1/1.1.1 ( not finished)

click modify

click format, and from its menu, choose numbering

click customize

take the ending period out at every level.

Make sure you select level 2 and 3 for as far as you will use, and take out the ending period from the number format field.

click ok

click ok

click ok

ok?

:)

Well it's not really a form field but it is created by going to Insert Fields not through bullets and numbering.

ok, but if you insert the field, and right click it, and choose bullets and numbering, it has a list outlined, correct? Can you customize that? will it work if you customize that by taking out the ending periods from there?
