Hello,

I need to "monitor" a phone line and I am using list trace for the station. however, the list trace time out after a while. Is there a way to chang the timer for this command? unless someone know a better way to monitor a station. This is the scenario; the phone is rining randomly at night and when the user pick up there's no body in the other side, so we are trying to trace the station and see what is going on. Thanks in advance!

MST? not sure if you need an Avaya tech to download the tracefile.

If this is a 2500 set, turn the test to "no" on the station form. Part of the maintenance is the ring generator test and it randomly makes 2500 sets have a short ring during the test.
