All,
i am asking this question here since i cant find the answer in any Avaya documentation.

when you have the "list trace" command running on an object, how long is the time out period, can it be adjusted?

I am not sure what the length is....However I am sure it is not adjustable.

i think the only limit is the buffer size; not sure if there is a time limit

Definityandcmuk is correct. When the buffer capacity is met, the trace will end.

I believe if you have an OSSI terminal type then the timeout is 2 minutes, but other terminal types (vt220, w2ktt, 4425, 513, etc) the timeout appears to be 15 minutes of no activity for "list trace".

list trace ...

LIST TRACE

time data

21:17:14 0 0 TRACE TIMED OUT
21:17:14 0 0 TRACE COMPLETE cid 0

Hope this helps
