Hello...I am having a problem with nb v3.4. When i attempt to run a backup it freezes all of my scratch tapes and fails out with a 96? Has anyone ever seen this before? Also how do i get a listing of just the frozen media? Thanks!

I don't know if it'll help as I'm using NB 4.5 but the command I use to view frozen media is
# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpmedialist -U

This gives you output on all status of your tape. It can be large so pipe the output to a file and then grep the file for FROZEN.

good luck!

If your tapes are being systematically frozen then there is something awry with your tape device. I have had the same problem 3 times in the past. Upon inspection we found that there was a tape stuck in one of the drives that prevented the robot from mounting other tapes.

Also - Check that the tapes are the correct density, write protect tabs are not on - Although these two are unlikely I have seen it.

Hi
You can check the media log whether your tapes are error not under the below directory.
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/media/errors
