I have a database for customer special orders for our store. When I added a list box to call up the customer and the customers data, I am having a problem geting to the correct customer. When I enter a letter of the beginning of the last name to find, the search doe go to names that begin with that letter. If I add another letter to try to spell out the name I am looking for, it jumps to the beginning of the files for that letter. I cannot put consecutive letters in without it looking for the first letter of a name. Is there a way to type in the name or some portion of to narrow my search? We have over 15,000 names in this file with many ending in the last name. You can see how time consuming it will be to scroll to the file I need.
I hope someone has a simple answer.

Thank you,
Larry

You may need to create a text box nnd a Search List button to detemine the position within the list Index and then position the cursor there.. htwh,

Have a look at the AutoExpand property of the Combobox object.

Hope This Helps, PH.
