Hello,

we use the LinuxAgent and the backup works well.
But I want to shutdown SQL-Database and some other things before the backup and use the option "-Prebackup filename"
to run "filename" before and "-Postbackup filename" for run a batchjob after backup.
It's in "uag.cfg" in /opt/CA/BABuagent/.
Do I have to do anything else to get it work?
Any ideas?

Best regards,
Peter

Hi,

Guess you are using like this in the uag.cfg file

#-Prebackup <filename> Execute <filename> script pre backup
# default name is uag_pre_backup
#-Postbackup <filename> Execute <filename> script post backup
# default name is uag_post_backup

Cheers

Hi sandyboy,

in my uag.cfg example it looks like:

-Prebackup <filename>

where filename is the name of the script to run

Is this the wrong syntax?
What do you mean with:

#-Prebackup <filename> Execute <filename> script pre backup

Should I use:

-Prebackup <filename> Execute <filename> <scriptname> ?

This looks strange for me.
Best regards,
Peter
