Linux TMR

Hi All,
I'm trying to install framework 4.1 on Red Hat Linux 8.0.
The installation seems to go well with no errors being reported, however, the problem I have is when I try to connect the Tivoli desktop from my win2k machine to my linux server. I can ping and name resolution works ok.
Linux was installed with all default settings.
Are there any 'gotchas' I should be aware of?
Do I need tools like RSH to be installed?

Any help will be really appreciated.

check with odadmin odlist your hostname and ip from the tmr

Hi there,

I had the same problem. you should assign an additional user to the Root admin and use this login - do not use root.

I - on the other side do have a problem opening the desktop on the server itself. I also get an oserv error trying to open a Inventory configuration on the remote desktop.

Any ideas ?
