Hi.. I try to install linux on server (compaq proliant) but it send me a error.. linux can't mount de root partition...

somebody can help me?? thank you
 
If any, what RAID controller is in the server? Is it supported by the distribution you are using? If not a RAID controller, what SCSI controller? Sounds like it isn't recognizing the controller.

Also, if it does have a RAID controller, is the controller configured with an array & logical drive? If you have Compaq's Smart Start software, you can configure the controller. If not, jump over to and you can get the configuration software from that site.
 
thank you.. I reviewed it..
I'm trying to install suse 7.2 pro on server compaq proliant 800

and when the installation was in progress it send me a error
"error during the installation" and thats all

I tested whit other HD IDE (the first is SCSI)and the error is de same..

I can't install de suse linux ..

can you help me please???
