Can anyone help with a dual boot for mandrake linux and WIn 98. The error i receive is when booting to linux, the screen continuously displays zeros and never loads linux. Could it be a problem with the configuration of LILO?
Thank You in advance
If it loads win98 but won't load linux then it could be the kernel currupt!

or the lilo not told properly where the kernel is.
is your win98 or linux partition first?
LILO will usually tell you if it has a problem finding the files. The LILO displayed when it starts is part of the debugging script. If that is OK then LILO can find all the necessary files.

You didn't say if you can boot to Win98. That would also indicate LILO is installed properly.

If all that is OK I would say Simon had the right answer, your kernel is corrupt.
Michael Regan
mregan@bccs-ca.com
<a href= Cat Computer Systems
Black Cat Computer Systems build Linux servers and work
try re-installing your Linux OS...see if that doesn't fix the problem
-Robherc
robherc@netzero.net

*nix installation & program collector/reseller. Contact me if you think you've got one that I don't :)

I have tried re-installation of linux and that does not fix the problem. Also, win98 does boot properly. The only way I can boot to linux is through the boot disk.
