Normally, our company's DOS program residing on W2K server is opened on W9X or W2K client by mapping drive to DOS folder, then making a PIF shortcut on the client desktop to the X:/folder/program.exe. The program opens in CMD window on the client desktop.

How can this scenario work given a Linux desktop? BTW, this DOS piece was originally accessed (B4 W2K server) over Novell with IPX/SPX.

Thanks

You can try using dosemu. That might work for you.

DOSEMU is a dos emulator.
