linux agent help

i have to put a linux server on to the back up rotation but it wont long in the agent what does it use to comunicate or is there other services on the linux box that need to be started. the agent has been installed

To start type "uagent start". By the way after installing the agent, it is started automatically. Check the status with the "uagent status" command. My idea is to open the firewall on the Linux box. Linux Agent will listen on TCP and UDP ports 6051 by default.
