Has anyone been successful on connecting a Linphone to the IP Office. This is a 3rd Party SIP softphone client that runs on Android and iPhone.

I am connecting it to a developoment system with all the licenses but having trouble configuring it. Anyone have or willing to compile the steps needed to configure this?

I really appreciate it. I am not an IP Office expert yet, but I am learning

Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael,

I did this a couple of times and it is very easy.

The username is the extension numner (201)
Password is the password set in the telephony tab
Domain is the IPO IP address.

Video should be set to H.264 and then you can make internal video calls.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Peter, Thanks for your response. You are a asset to the board and community! Thank you

My concern is more around Domain, Proxy, and any other backend settings. I am using IP Office Anywhere. Because of multiple demo environments I am keeping my IPO at the IP address is 192.168.1.100 That means I access some apps on port 7070 and some on port 8080

If you are willing, I can send you my contact info in a PM, and we can work offline. Thanks for the advice!!

There is no PM option and i am not allowed to put my email address here.
It is really easy to setup.
We have a couple of Android tablets with this Linphone on it and all it needs is the domain (IPO IP) username (extension number) and password.

Peter you are the man. I went back and reread your first post. (Should have done that in the first place!)

I never would have guessed I had to put a login code on the supervisor login, that is AWESOME. I have multiple customer's asking for this for international travel!

2 stars my friend 2 stars!!!!

Now to work on the new Flare Experience (Once I get the correct download link)

Well worth getting up at midnight to play around!

That is what i thought about the midnight as i am in the early morning (Europe)
Thanks for the stars :)

Hey guys, thank you so much, this is a great app! I was curious though, how do I get it to work when I'm not on my company's wifi? Thanks again, I am loving this.

Here is my guess and Peter can fill in if I am wrong. Take a public/ static IP address from your carrier.

Point it to your internal IP address in your router/firewall.

Then use that public IP address in the Linphone client. You might also have to set up a STUN server, but I have never done that.

I was also looking at 3CX last night. It should work similar but a couple of differences:
- It has the ability to set up a "In Office" profile with your internal IP address (Wifi) and an "Out of Office Profile" with your public IP address. The a user can easily pick the profile and doesn't have to mannually change the IP Address when they leave the office
- I don't think it has video support but have not tested it

Hi;

I was using this softphone but I unistalled of my smartphone because I had to restart it.

Now, when I register the phone I can make a call but there isn't voice.

Could you help me about it?
