Hi Guys,

I have a linksys wireless router(G). I am connecting to
internet through Linksys wireless USB Network Adapter from
my Desktop. The strange thing is eventhough the signal strength show good/excellent the internet is discoonecting.

In order to get the internet up I need to disable and enable connection fron Network connections.

Please help me how to resolve this.

Regards
Kris

The internet should be connecting to the router, it shouldn't matter what your card is doing.

From your desktop, bring up a command prompt and type ipconfig and tell us the output. Then type ping 192.168.1.1 and tell us the output.

Thanks,

Jon

Hello,

Finally I find the problem. I am having a HP All In One Laserjet 3039(Print,scan,Copy & Fax) and Logitech Web Cam connected to my computer on USB ports. I disconnected HP connection and the internet seems to be working with out getting disconnected.

Now I don't know how to fix the problem. How to make the HP all in one connect to my computer with out getting disconnected from the internet.

Please suggest.

Regards
Kris

How do you have your internet connected? Tell me what is plugged into what starting with the wall jack.

You should have this

wall---->modem----->router--w--i--f--i-->pc

The modem should not be plugged into your usb port.

If that is not the case, you may want to check linksys/hp website to make sure there is not a known problem between the two. I find it unlikely, but you never know.

Do a ping -t 192.168.1.1 (as long as you are using windows and not linux)and see how often you get request timed out. At the same time, be watching the signal strength. See if there is any correlation between the two.

Thanks,

jon
