I have ready many of the threads by other users, but they all seem not include the possibility of a DSL modem with a WAN IP(66.xxx.xxx.xxx for instance) and a LAN IP(192.168.1.254) being different.
In my situation, I have a DSL Modem with the above configuration. That modem is then connected to both a Linksys BEFVP41 and an NT4 server which acts as a proxy server for people on the domain.
The proxy server has two NIC cards (192.168.1.3 and 192.168.0.3) The network is configured with IP address of the 192.168.0.x family. This computer is the one that I wish people to access through the VPN.
The Linksys router has a WAN of 192.168.1.1 and LAN of 192.168.0.10
I have followed the directions for setting up SSH from their site, and yet I still get errors that no connection can be made.
My linksys has the latest firmware and I have had my ISP open port 1723.
Has anybody else setup a similar configuration? If so what should I do to get this to work correctly.
