Hi, I have a linksys router befsr41 and it use to be uplink with a linksys 8 port hub. One day I had brought my router to a friends house for some network testing, it was uplinkned to a 5 port hub (the name escapes me). Anyway, I brought the router home and hooked it back up, and now when I uplink the router and the hub, the link/act LED blinks rapidly on the router and the pulses on the hub. I have tried different cables and updated the routers firmware. Like I said it 'used' to work, but now everything connected to the hub is no longer on the network. Any sugestions?

gee, that seems like an easy answer. However the router stiil works, I'm able to connect to the internet through it, do you think that the uplink port and/or port 1 is dead?

Okay, well I got another hub (3com), and uplinked it with the linksys router and that seems to working fine. I'll have to test the linksys hub to see if that whats causing the problems. Thanks for the tip though.....

You don't have something plugged into both port 1 and the uplink port do you? On the 8 port hub end are you plugging into a regular port or an uplink port? You should not go from an uplink to an uplink as they cancel each other out.
