Im trying to program a Linksys SIP Phone SPA942-EU but how does the phone system know its DN? You cannot enter in the MAC address in the user config. Do I have to enter a PIN? If so is there a specific PIN I have to enter or can I create a PIN in the user config screen and then use that PIN when powering up the phone?

I believe you program the SIP user in the Mitel and the PIN is the extension number you assigned to the SIP user. Its been a while...

As well as configuring your SIP details on the Mitel controller, you will need to also configure these in the web interface of the phone.

Details are:

Type the IP address in your browser and enter into administration mode by clicking `Admin Mode`. You will be prompted for password if you have set such. Then go to Ext 1 tab.

This is the location where you can configure your account:

-Enable the line by selecting `Line Enable` option to yes
-Enter the IP address or the hostname of your Mitel 3300 on the `Proxy` setting
-Set `User ID` and `Auth ID` to the account name of the SIP account that you created
-Set the password for the account
-Select appropriate audio codec
-To apply changes press `Submit All Changes` button and reboot the phone.
