I have an ip(A) address that SBC translates to another ip(B) address(note this is not the public ip(C) I get with No problem when the pc is directly attached. Now a Linksys wireless router was installed with the second IP(B) address as it's address. The pc that was connected is now static with a 3rd IP(D) address. Problem is, that I cannot get to the pc with pcAnywhere as I used to be able to.
Linksys router table is 5631,5632,9002,9003,5900 directed to the pc on the router. SBC opened those ports so that they are not supposed to be filtering, and it did work when the pc was directly connected to SBC.
Anyone have a suggestion. I can ping the ip(A) that SBC shows as public, from another computer on the internet. But that's as far as I can go.

Can you be a bit more clear? You have an IP address on your router, a public one...and why does SBC change it? I am totally lost on your topology. Please post a before topology and after, and use x.x.x.x and y.y.y.y to denote the IP addresses. If they are private, please use a.a.a.a and b.b.b.b. Thanks.

SBC sites x.x.x.x which is a translate of a.a.a.a.
The router uses a.a.a.a.
Router DHCP's b.b.b.n (where n is 100-150)
PC attached to router is b.b.b.s (static)
route table opens 5631 and 5632 ports to b.b.b.s

problem is pcAnywhere gets comm error.

Solved by putting switch before router and plugging pc into it as a.a.a.a and router with a.a.a.a+1 (both of which SBC NATs to x.x.x.y and x.x.x.y+1)

Thank you for any enligtenment that you can give so I can get rid of switch if possible.
