I need to open a port on my router and don't know how the model is Wireless-B Broadband Router Model #BEFW11S4 I need to open port 9090 for a particular software.
It sounds like you need to do port forwarding. You should be able to go into the configuration of the router and forward the port number to the ip address in the 'lan' that will be processing the input. If you are trying to send to port 9090, how are you doing that at present? Are you specifying the port number after the URL with the appended ':9090'?
I can go into the configuration but I am not sure where to put this setting and yes it will have an ip address in front of it.
I was told I just need to open port 9090
in addition to the last reply; we have and internal link we go to and some of our remote users need to access this link so instead of being the internal ip
