Linksys Cable/DSL Router

I got a call from a friend of mine who has just had a Linksys Cable DSL Router Loose its mind.

I have had one of these devices do this in the past and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

What kind of problem? Not able to connect? Randomly losing the connection? etc...

I randomly looses its setting, and stops handing out dhcp addresses.

Cold reset/reconfiguration fixes it, but I am concerned that the problem is more widespread. I have heard of this before on at least 2 other linksys devices.

update to the latest firmware. linksys has release a bunch of firmwares that resolved dhcp problems , like the one your have.
