I have a VPN connection between two linksys BEFVP41 routers i am on the 192.168.10.0 en my customer is on the 192.168.1.0 network.
but I can not ping his machine on 192.168.1.100. Or any other machine on the remote network. Can someone tell me what to do now to reach his machine on 192.168.1.100 ?
I have enabled netboios broadcast on the routers.

I get the feeling i need to make static routes between the two subnets in the vpn routers that connect the networks.

ME linksys2 -> 192.168.10.1
linksys 1 = destination : 192.168.1.0 gateway 192.168.1.1 (vpn ip)

Customer linksys 1-> 192.168.1.1
linksys 2 = destination : 192.168.10.0 gateway 192.168.10.1 (vpn ip)

Can someone please tell me if i am right about making static routes on the linksys BEFVP41 routers for reaching the other network.

Hi

First can you tell me how the connection between the two routers is? Trough hardware?? Or trough Microsoft VPN client (or another VPN Client)?
Have you tried to add a static route on your network for testing?
In command DOS c:\route add 192.168.1.0 192.168.10.0 –p

I have a VPN connection between two linksys BEFVP41 routers.

I have not yet tried to add static routes yet on the client i have tried that on the routers but not shure how to do that i have tried several things and did not work.

Hi again

I still cant understand how are you connecting the two routers
Are you connecting trough hardware(on routers config)? If so, how?

Or are you connecting trough the Microsoft network?

I connect the routers wan port to a adsl modem and one of the other 4 ports to my lan
On the other site i do the same
so the routers are connected to the internet by adsl modem/router.

In the vpn router i fill in the vpn setup page

local security group 192.168.10.0
subnetmast 255.255.255.0

remote security group 192.168.1.0
subnetmast 255.255.255.0

remote security gateway outsite ip of the other sites adsl modem.

the other site is vise versa

I can connect and i can not ping the other network cleints

Hi again

Like I said, try to add a route on your network. On the client side.

If this not work. Try to make a windows VPN connection to your other VPN router. With the route add from client to server.

This is only for testes.

Thanxs for helping man, its working now. My customer on the other site of the tunnel had another router behind the linksys that i did not know of after removing this one the tunnel worked like it should.
