Has anyone had any luck getting these two talking to each other through the VPN tunnel feature of the Linksys? I can get them to at least see each other, but the Firebox doesn't accept the passphrase from the Linksys.
I haven't personally done this, but I know a few people that have. They have not had an issue with it.
A couple things to verify though. Both ends of this connection should have a static IP. Secondly, make sure you have the latest firmware on the Linksys and software on the FB.
I think I have it working now. The Firebox crashed yesterday. I recovered it before going home last night, and when I started from scratch on the IPSec policies, it seems to be working. Just waiting to test the key synch.
I'm having the same problem too between a Firebox 1000 and a Linksys BEFSX41. I managed to make a VPN connection from the Linksys router to the Firebox. But I only managed to ping the internal IP of the Firebox. Anything beyond that is unsuccessful with the Firebox Traffic Monitor reporting that incorrect passphrase used.
Strange. I've already included the Any Policy to allow incoming and outgoing traffic between those 2 subnets (that shouldn't be the problem). I've double check both the authentication and encryption method used to match. How could the machine reports incorrect passphrase.
