How can i put a link to a file that is on the network?
I don't want to have to go to the menu and copy as link. that is not an option.
this link would be put in to the body of the email Programmatically everyday.

Go to File, Preferences, User Preferences, on the Basic Icon - under the additional Options and checkmark "Make Internet URL's ( into Hotspots" when in the email you must type http:// in order for the event to occur

thanks
but that didn't work
it wouldn't be an http://
it would be like this
File://g:/exempt/duties/dailyexp/01.dec.2000.xls
and in lotus i hant found a way to make this a link without
having to use the menu items.
which would not be an option as this will be put in to the body of the email programmaticly

I'm not 100% certain that I understand your problem, so please forgive if this is misguided. How about using File->Attach and attaching a Windows shortcut into the email? Since the file itself assumedly will change from day to day, just re-shortcut (using the same name). As for doing this programmatically, what's generating the text for the email? If an agent, it's pretty straightforward to plant an attachment in the body. If you're doing this by hand, you could place the attachment in the signature.

Hope this helps. "One fish, two fish,

Red fish, blue fish."
