I am not an expert in any way so please excuse me if I don’t explain my problem with the correct terminology. I have an access DB that linked to our Oracle system and generated a “snapshot” of the tables that I needed. Every night, I had a marco run in access that updated the data from Oracle. I LINKED the oracle tables that I needed in access. Now we went from 10.7 to the new and improved Oracle 11i. Forget for a minute that a lot of the tables that I was using changed names. I tried to relink the tables but now every cell has “#DELETED” in it. If I use import, I can get the data but I want to be able to link the tables without any problems. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I take it you are using a hard link that is maintained in your ACCESS front-end database. I mean that in the tables tab you can see your Oracle tables with a black arrow to the left of the table names. If not please explain.

Not knowing exactly what you have done so far, I would start by removing all of the linked tables to your Oracle database. Just click on them and press your Delete key. This will remove the links.

Now start over and link to the new table names in your Oracle database. After you have these tables linked I would look at the queries being used to access these tables. You should be able to just open the table recordsets directly. But, it may be that you are trying to use queries that are referencing the old table and field names. This could be the reason for your Delete indicators in the rows.
