Although I can connect successfully and see the table, when I attempt to preview the data in design view, the MS ODBC driver returns s1001, "too many fields defined." The number of fields in the worksheet is only 32.

Also, when I choose Alter Table from design view, each
of the non-numeric columns is 510 chars wide!

Any hints, suggestions, greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!
How do you define a Excel file as PB ODBC Data source
and see it as a table?
I tried it and could connect, but no table shows in
DB Painter.
When I selected the check box to "Show System Tables",
my Excel file "test_sony_1.xls" became "sony_1$", but
when I try to open it, "error 37000, syntax error in
FROM clause"...
Thanks in advance!
