I wish to link Definity with Nortel Meridian swithc using ISDN PRI and Q-SIg protocol. Pleas advise what type of interface setting I should use for porper linking. I have problem in calling Nortel switch from Definity. Reverse is OK.
What should be programmed for D-channel IFC? Please advise.

hi this is my setup.

Thanks Cmawbey , for your reply.
But it seems that your set up is for linking two Nortel switches. I want have set up for linking with Definity,Avaya switch.

if the G3 is blocking the outgoing calls ... maybe u can try posting in the Definity forum ...

Seetu,

I too am having trouble with a qsig link between Meridian and Avaya. In answer to your question I can tell you that we are using ESIG.

I need to get qsig route optimistation working between the two but do not know how to setup the PINX DN within the Avaya so that only the pinx dn is sent and any prefixes (AAR) used for routing the call are stripped.

I would be only too happy to share any information if it means progressing this!

Hi Bickles,
Now I am though with the link using ESS4 as IFC , but getting only number not name.
Avaya doesn't send the AAR digits. You can delete any extra digits in Change route pattern command.
What I found is Nortel is sending additional prefix digits and they have to be absorbed in avaya in trunk group conifguration. Other wise calls go to wrong numbers.
