I am working on a proof of concept soft phone server project. I am trying to have my MITEL PBX be the "Telco" for a AsteriskNOW PBX. I have a Wildcard TE110p clone card (OpenVOX D100p)configured in the Asterisk system linked to an available PRI card via T1 cross over cable in a DSU in my 2K. The Asterisk box sees the card as configured and the LED is green and if I pull the crossover cable the card sees it as an error and the LED flashes red- so the Asterisk side at least sees something there.
I can not seem to get the right config in the MITEL to have this PRI span come online. I have found some notes on the MITEL digital circuit descriptor and MSDN_DPNSS_DASSII trunk circuit descriptor setups from someone that alledgedly got it working but the span still is not responding. I suspect a setting in the IMAT of the PRI card as the PRI card is not connecting to telco but needs to be telco for for the other PBX. I have also assigned trunk numbers to this span and included them in a trunk group and an ars route.
I am betting that someone out there has the right answer for this. MITELGuy I am counting on you. :)
Thanks

I was able to connect MITEL and Cisco PRI gaveway using QSIG.
May I ask you a question? Why wouldn't give a try to SIP? I have an Asterisk based IVR working perfectly fine with 3300 ICP.

Thx for the reply. I do not have the QSIG options in my switch. I am trying to come up with a viable solution using existing hardware with out incurring additional MITEL purchases. If I can connect via existing PRI cards I can save $$ in additioal license purchases. Besides this is a proof of concept so again I am trying to keep costs down until we are sure of what we need /want to do.

SIP option? You can establish SIP trunks from a 3300 to Asterix.

Yes SIP trunking is an option- I was working on a proof of concept project and was trying to utilize existing hardware- SIP trunk licence would cost me $100 each (x23=$2300)- I have spare PRI cards- so hence my attempt.
that project is completed and we decided to use SIP user licenses in the 3300 with the X-Lite softphone. So far all is well- So issue is resolved for now.
Thanks All.
