Ive set up iis 5 on win xp pro. My problem is when i set up interdev 6 (step 1 of 4) what server do i want to use. I type in localhost..cant connect. i type in my ip ..cant connect

iis seems to work because i can type the ip in a browser and see the site

can anyone please provide me with information

thanks in advance

hmmm.... make double sure your:

IIS Admin Service
FTP Publishing

services are all started. I **think** the FTP is the key to get this to work, but I'm not positive.

Just tried it on win2k here and it worked fine. All three services were running, and it connected.

good luck! :)

Besides what link9 said, make sure you have FrontPage Server Extensions installed. If you don't you need to install them to be able to connect your InterDev project to localhost or whatever server you're going to use.

Did you solve this problem. I aM GETTING THE SAME ISSUE

as ajain6 and mrak i also have this problem, and if someone knows the answer to make it work please contact my ICQ# 29203973.
10x....
shay.

I did solve my prblem. The Frontpage server extentions were not configured on my IIS.
Try this should help

I solve it too now....
thank you ajain6 for the help!
but you forgot something: you need to download the new FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 from Microsoft's Download Center if you want it to work with Windows XP.

And.. And...
