Before we upgraded to 6.5 the Goldmine email worked great. One could email another, link to a certain contact record and the other person would open their email, clik on it and then the contact record would open in front of them. This no longer works for everyone and I have driven myself insane looking for the answer to this. Any ideas??

Thx in advance!!

i have found that the best site to answer for Goldmine question is

We use goldmine here but we do not use the email side of it at all, so i am unable to help you.

Hope you get it resolved.

Well, there's a LINK button on the e-mail composition window that might not be checked (by default) for some users... I beliebve it's a 'sticky setting' -- if they check it once, the next time they send an e-mail, it'll also be checked. It's a button that looks like a chain link on the toolbar.. it'll either be pressed in or not depending on if the email should be linked to the contact record or not.

alternately, it may be a recipient-side setting. In the e-mail center inbox, right click on an e-mail and select options|Sync contact. Again, a sticky setting...

Thanks Goner! We know about the sender-side of this issue but will double-check the recipient-side of it.

Cool! Always remember the rule of thumb with goldMine.. When in doubt, right click.. There are a lot of little options and tools hidden away in the right click menus everywhere. :)
