Hi there,

first post and i'll be the first to admit i'm not the brightest wit Access, anyways he's the situation.

Have a form which contains a subform which is set to a datasheet view. It contains data regarding sickness. There is a button on the main form which opens a custome calculator which calculates a percentage, what i want is to have a button with the calculator form so when pressed the percentage value will transfer to the subform and input the value into one of the fields.

Any help would be great.

Is there some value that would identify which record in the subform needs updating? Do you send a filter or openargs to the "calculator" that identifies where the value gets placed?

There isn't anything currently that identifies where the value is getting placed.
What we want is to put the value in the empty field on the subform (in datasheet view).

I have managed to setup a Global Variable that gets the Value when a button is pressed.

the empty field on the subform" doesn't provide any indication of which record or possibly which field. If you can't be more specific, any automation will result in your value being place in a random record in a near random field.
