I work for a company who stores bit of data in a linked table.
We would like to make a change to one of the fields in this linked table.
I know that when you delete a link you don't delete the table but it does disappear when you do that. How do I make the change to the linked table if I can't see it?

You need to make the change in the database that actually contains the table, not the linked database. Maq [americanflag]

Thanks..we will try that.
However, the only table that is not linked is the data files, is that where the change should be made?
Do we need to remove the link in the linked table before the change will take effect?

The change needs to be made in whichever database actually stores the table. (If you see an arrow in front of the table, then you're in the wrong one).

You don't need to remove the links first, but you should refresh the links after you've made the change just to be sure the linked databases see the changes. Maq [americanflag]

Thank you so much! We are getting ready to try it in just a bit..will let you know how we make out. Thanks again.
