Hi there,

We have two copies of backend for our database. We would like to switch back and forth between two. Linked table manager does not allow linked tables to be update all one once. Also, I can not delete all linked tables at once?

How come is like that?

When that happens, I would have to delete every single linked table one by one and then import all the linked tables. That usually takes a long time when you have so many tables.

You should be able to delete all the linked tables all at once or the Linked Table Manager should allow updating the linked tables all at once.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

The linked table manager does allow relinking (not "updating") of all tables. Click on the "Select All" button, then click on "OK".

Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused Novocain during a root
canal? He wanted to transcend dental medication.

I meant relinking. You did not read my entire thread. Selecting All and CheckMarking "Alwasy Prompt for a new Location" does not work.

I would appreicate an answer who has the same problem.

Thanks.

If any of the checked off tables is currently linked to a different backend database than the others, it will prompt you for each table.

If all checked off tables are linked to the same backend, relinking will proceed for all tables.

You probably have at least one table with a different backend than the others.

As for deleting all linked tables, you will need to write code for that, but it is not too difficult. Take a look at the TableDef object.

You did not read my entire thread - Bit abrupt?
