I want to create a linked table from an excel spreadsheet. However, the first few rows (2) are used for header info. Field Names are at row 3 and data starts from row 4 on. How can I tell Access to ignore the first 2 rows and link the rest?

Thanks

Have you tried to use a named range ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

What is that and how do you do it?

I found out how to select the named range in Excel, but this doesn't allow the user to enter mroe rows (records) in Excel beyond the specified range.
Also, if I set the range in Excel to x number of rows beyond the actual data rows for to capture additional data, this shows up as blank records in Access.
How can I get the named range to expand rows are entered into Excel, so this does not show blank records in Access?
