Hi there everyone,

just a simple question, i have an access database with three linked SQL tables, will this be an issue when i go to access the tables via my ASP pages, with regards to passwords etc of the tables themeselves? i am running off a static version, so instead of using the live data i have actually imported the tables as apposed to linking them, thus the reason i am asking this question.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Kind Regards,

Roberto

in order to properly develop you will need to require the operating environment as close as possible, and being it's an access db request a data altered copy to work with or something.

because.... yes the linked and passworded table will more than likely cause a problem once or twice in making your code work

Yes i know about the core development environment, however i was forced to use a pre-defined database along with my new one, which is something i never intended to do.

Is there a way of placing the password and username when those tables are required?? i need to ensure that that data is accessible and no problems arise.

Thankyou very much!

Roberto

hmm well without installing SQL for development, you could make alternate access db's link to those and password the external db's
