Linked Server to Search Services

Looks like a CLR solution. There are many other attempts out there, but Search Services don't return SQL-formatted results.

dexeloper - if you got a solution to what you asked please post it here for others that may search for it to know what it is.
solution that philhege gave is a common one to bypass some of the problems that using particular linked server providers have. sometimes the errors are very specific to particular os versions but that makes them sometimes unreliable hence a CLR being in many cases a better solution.
