Hi!
I'm trying to link a TTX file to a report at run-time.
I have try to use SetDataSource method with bad results.

Could anyone help me? :)

Thanks in advance.

Sandokan.

What are you trying to accomplish? A TTX file is a data description file, which is useful in designing a report, but it does not contain any data, so it is not actually a data source.

Hi Rogan!

I'm trying to link the TTX file in design time at run-time, a TTX is a persistent data source, it it wrong?
In this way I can design the report.

Later I link the report to the real datasource (stored procedure) also at run-time and launch it.

The problem it to link the TTX file to the report, could you help me?

Thanks! :)

Sandokan.

The problem is to link the TTX file to the report at RUN-TIME.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by <<link the TTX file in design time at run-time>> Are you using the RDC? I have no experience with that integration object. All I know is that you can use a TTX file in the CR report designer to develop a report layout, but you must then assign a real data source, e.g. from a VB or Web App, to run the report. That's when and how you use the SetDataSource method. I repeat, a ttx file is NOT a data source, persistent or otherwise. It is a way to design a report without using a data source.
