I'm trying to link to a named range within a spreadsheet. the range is a non-contiguous group of columns. However when I try to link to it the range doesn't show in the available range box. If I select a contiguous range that shows and I can select it. I also tried coding it using transfer spreadsheet but I got an error saying couldn't find the object 'Name of My range' Is this supposed to happen or am I missing something?

I would go with the transfer spreadsheet (all of sheet) followed by a "make a table query" that chooses the correct columns.

Another way, not necessarily easier, would be to create another sheet in your workbook and reference the Columns that you want to import. Then name the sheet in your import routine.
