Link Principal Reports and Subreports

I am making a report in Crystal Reports 8. In this report i have two subreports. In each subreports i have grand totals.
I want to add the grand totals and then display the result in the principal report so i can manage this data. How can i retrieve fields or data from a subreport to the principal report?

You have to create a shared variable anytime you want to pass values from a subreport to the main report. Ken Hamady

I am facing the same problem.I have created a shared variable in the subreport.How do I get it displayed or used in the main report?.It does not appear anywhere in the main report i.e. I am not able to access the same in the main report.Pls help us.
