We just upgraded an Option 61C from version 23.11 to Succession 4.0. However some analog phones seem to be having some problem with the "link" button. Is there anything "special" that needs to be confugured for the link button to work. I did check the old programming, but everything seems to be fine.

I had tried the xfa before, but that doesn't help either. I get the same thing, I hear the phone disconnect for a few seconds and then I get the dial tone again.

Dial Tone again? You have to have a call on the line in order to transfer a call. If you just pick up the phone and hit link or hook flash with no call on the line you will hear a single stutter and then dial tone. You do need xfa for this to work. If you have xfd, the switch will give you a headache, but no transfer. Also put in FTR PHD as John Poole stated in an earlier post. When this is working correctly, you should hit link or do a hook flash and hear 3 short stutters and then dial tone, enter the number to transfer to and wait on the line until someone answers or hang up when it starts ringing, and like magic it is gone.

Thanks Techman, I'll check it out tomorrow and let u know

did you ever add conf to the class, another requirement

Nope guys, doesn't seem to work either.

I added the cls c6a xfa
and added the PHD as feature

I just keep the other person on the line and I cannot get a dial tone. Hook flashing doesn't work either.

The only other thing you can try is XHA, and THFD in CLS. Please print a working TN.

have you checked for a patch? is this broke on both cpu's and is it just on one card or loop? by this time i would have tried holy water and dancing with live chickens in the dark

In the dark? That's kind of dangerous. I would at least light a candle. Have you contacted the company that did the upgrade with this problem? Like John suggested, they might know of a patch, or have ran into this problem with another upgrade.

I scanned through the thread, was wondering if you checked LD 15:

IFLS (NO) YES Ignore Switchhook Flash signal from 500/2500 sets

The default for IFLS is no, but if for some reason it's been changed to YES, that could cause the problem.

Well we did the upgrade together with a technician that flew over. It was hard communicating with him because he spoke mostly spanish.

I will check LD 15 and see if that's the problem. If I do the check in LD 15, do I have to keep all the features on the phone, meaning all the CLS and other things I had to change?

The link buttons were working fine before the upgrade, after the upgrade they weren't.

OH In which part of LD 15 do I check this? What would a print out look like?

I'll most likely be trying this on Monday, so any other suggestions will be welcome.

The data in LD 15 is fine. The IFLS is set to NO.

Any other ideas?

I think you need call your Vendor that upgraded the switch. You had no problems before the upgrade, and now you do.

Suggestion,
Out a 500 set and using the copy command copy a working set to the TN. Physically move the working set to the TN and test.

If you still fail, using move, flip the sets to the opposite TN and retest.

If the failure stays at the same location, reverse the station cards running the set.

If none of that works, look for the large red PANIC button and call a vendor.
Good Luck
